The Challenge:
Grow the Academy of Preachers, a not-for-profit initiative supporting young people aspiring to become preachers, from a regional start-up to a nationally recognized organization.

Peritus has worked alongside the Academy of Preachers (AoP) since 2009 to build its brand and identity. With effective branding and marketing materials were in place, Peritus set out to generate awareness for the Academy’s primary programs (the National Festival of Young Preachers, Preaching Camps and Campus Festival of Young Preachers) by integrating traditional media outreach with social media platforms including YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. In 2010, the AoP—which seeks to “Inspire young people in their call to gospel preaching”—turned to Peritus when its website needed a little inspiration of its own. Peritus worked alongside the Academy and its partners to develop, design and launch a web presence that blends the Academy’s branding with functional elements that meet their communications needs. The elements include daily news features, video testimonials, rotating banners, endorsement statements, and event registration forms. Today, Peritus plays an integral role in guiding and shaping the future of the AoP.
The Result:
Through traditional and social media outreach and effective communications and design, Peritus has helped launch the Academy of Preachers into the national spotlight. The Academy has been featured by USA Today’s Faith & Reason blog and the Huffington Post in addition to dozens of regional print and broadcast media. As the Academy’s reputation has spread, so has its following across social media platforms. Today, the Academy’s programs draw participants from across the country—from New York to California—and continue to generate interest on an international level.
