Project: Event Production: Marriott Oaks Bourbon Brunch to benefit children through local non-profit organizations

The Challenge:
The Louisville Marriott Downtown’s vision was to create an exclusive tradition in the form of an annual brunch occurring the morning of the Kentucky Oaks.

Peritus led the way in conceptualizing, creating and producing what is now one of the Derby’s most celebrated events. For the past two three years, Peritus has joined forces with the Louisville Marriott Downtown and the Home of the Innocentsa local non-profit organizations benefiting children to create a new Kentucky Oaks tradition with the Marriott Oaks Bourbon Brunch.
In its first two years, the event benefited The Home of the Innocents, the region’s open arms to children in crisis. In 2011, all proceeds were donated to Kosair Children’s Hospital through the Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Guests indulged in the culinary creations of Food Network’SNBC “Minute to Win It” host and celebrity chef Guy Fieri and treated to a full program of silent and live auctions.
The exclusive event, in which all proceeds were donated to the Home of the Innocentss, entertained and catered to a wide-range of guests including corporate parties, civic and community leaders, high-profile Derby attendees and local and national media.

For two three years running, the event has sold out and developed a reputation as one of the Derby’s most anticipated events. The multi-course brunch designed by Fieri, generated huge exposure for the Louisville Marriott Downtown and raised more than $60,000nearly $100,000 in its first three years. for the Home of the Innocents; the region’s open arms to children in crisis.
