Our 2018 Reflection

What a journey it has been this past year for Peritus PR. We started this firm five years ago with a clear vision – connecting our communities through communications.  No matter how busy our day seems, or challenging of a task we are faced with, our team finds ourselves appreciative to wake up every day and live out this purposeful role.

Like Birmingham’s Rotary Trail, take a look at how the path we are blazing is helping connect Alabama’s communities:

  • Connecting to Inspire Storytelling: The Peritus Book Club initiative expanded reach as we shared motivating books and encouraged our network to pass them along.

  • Connecting to Build Community: Our team moved into a larger Pepper Place office, where we are surrounded by a talented network of creative local entrepreneurs.

  • Connecting to Diversify Talent: We welcomed team additions with diverse skillsets that improve our ability to navigate challenges, drive results and create impact.

    • Public Relations Specialist Hanlon Walsh brings a fresh, well-rounded perspective after leading communications for a Mobile regional nonprofit. Now that Hanlon has returned to Birmingham, you can find him enjoying his favorite neighboring local trails he frequented during his college days.

    • Public Affairs Specialist Samantha Moore brings a unique advocacy background to our dynamic team, combining her passion for connection and policy. If Sam has a free weekend, she enjoys exploring Birmingham’s best brunch spots.

  • Connecting to Expand Reach: Peritus recently extended our footprint into the Gulf Coast region, where Sally Immel will help us impact the South Alabama community.

  • Connecting to Serve Others: We led meaningful community collaborations through our supportive work culture allowing opportunities to donate our resources and talents to highlight worthwhile causes.

  • Connecting to Enhance Our Profession: One of this year’s most rewarding initiatives was our PRSA leadership role that provided the chapter with stronger brand standards, digital growth and increased member engagement.

  • Connecting to Advocate Causes: Peritus PR looks forward to continuing our support of influential nonprofits, growing brands, and the state’s largest employers, while bringing awareness to national campaigns like this past year’s U.S. Civil Rights Trail and U.S. Navy Week partnerships.

  • Connecting to Create Impact: As a woman-owned business and leading PR firm in the state, we are proud to serve as the trailblazers of strategy-focused public affairs, and help clients navigate through challenges and successes, including market expansions, brand positioning, crisis response and media training.

Our PUBLISHED by Peritus takeaway is this:

We are fortunate to work with talented professionals that shape our culture and inspire Peritus’ vision for a brighter Alabama. We encourage our network to find support systems that are invested in helping connect our communities.
