Peritus PR Earns Three PRGN Global Best Practice Awards
Peritus Public Relations is proud to announce that our team has earned three international Best Practice Awards from the Public Relations Global Network (PRGN) — recognizing excellence in Agency Marketing/Self-Promotion, Community Relations and Media Relations.
As Alabama’s exclusive PRGN member, Peritus represents our state within a prestigious network of more than 55 independent public relations firms across the globe. Each year, PRGN honors outstanding client work and innovative best practices from its members. This year’s awards were presented during the annual conference hosted in Nairobi, Kenya, where Peritus was recognized among top-performing firms worldwide.
Gold in Agency Marketing / Self-Promotion
Peritus Legislative Guide and Session Panel
Since 2018, the Peritus PR Legislative Guide has been our signature resource to make Alabama’s legislative session easier to follow. Our goal is to educate Alabamians on policy that impacts their lives and position Peritus as a go-to public affairs partner.
What began as a simple guide has evolved into a cornerstone content program for our agency’s thought leadership and community engagement efforts. Over time, it has shaped how we connect weekly with potential clients, informed our visibility strategy during the legislative session, and strengthened our reputation as a steady partner in moments of uncertainty.
Each year, the guide is themed to align with Alabama Tourism’s “Year Of’ campaigns, making complex policy approachable and accessible. The 2025 edition, inspired by the “Year of Trails,” expanded the work even further — incorporating insights from 75 policy leaders statewide and setting the stage for deeper conversations about Alabama’s future. This year, we brought the Legislative Guide to life through an in-person event, Session Rewind, where we facilitated a series of panels with subject matter experts to unpack takeaways from the Legislative Session.
Gold in Media Relations
Alabama Tourism Department “Year of Trails” Campaign
Peritus partnered with Luckie & Co., a Birmingham-based branding and creative agency, to lead media relations and stakeholder engagement efforts for the Alabama Tourism Department’s 2025 “Year of Trails” campaign.
The two-year initiative celebrates Alabama’s extensive trail systems and its impact on tourism, economic development, conservation and quality of life. Highlights from our 2025 campaign included:
Launch kickoff event at Vulcan Park, unveiling Vulcan’s larger than life hiking boots and Alabama’s “25 Must Tread Trails for 2025”
Statewide op-ed campaign highlighting Alabama’s trails benefits from influential voices representing various perspectives
“Tour of Alabama” Trails multi-day bike ride around North Alabama with national journalists and influencers, allowing them to experience our state’s beautiful trails firsthand.
Our earned media strategy played a pivotal role in amplifying awareness statewide, helping the Alabama Tourism Department tell a cohesive story that connects residents and visitors alike to the state’s natural beauty and outdoor assets.
Bronze in Community Relations
Airbus Listening Tour
When global aircraft manufacturer Airbus sought to strengthen its community engagement strategy in Mobile, Peritus was brought in to help bridge cultural divides and align corporate citizenship with local values.
Through a “listening tour” of more than 40 in-depth interviews with influential community leaders, we gathered diverse perspectives that shaped a roadmap for Airbus to deepen its philanthropic impact, strengthen relationships and solidify its reputation as a global corporate citizen with local roots.
This work, conducted in collaboration with Airbus Americas’ agency of record, Xenophon Strategies, resulted in continued work with Airbus.
Our PUBLISHED by PERITUS takeaway is this:
These awards reflect Peritus’ commitment to purpose-driven storytelling, partnerships and strategic communications that connect communities for a brighter Alabama. We’re honored to have our work recognized on a global stage alongside world-class peers — and even prouder to represent the meaningful stories coming out of our home state.
