JOB DESCRIPTION
As a trusted leader, you will lead high-stakes client engagements, mentor teams and bring fresh thinking to the firm’s strategic work. You’ll be part of a collaborative, values-driven agency where initiative, curiosity and ownership are celebrated.
+ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the primary relationship manager for multiple advisory clients, leading scopes of work, anticipating challenges and delivering high-quality results.
Develop and execute crisis, internal and reputation management strategies aligned with client business goals.
Mentor team members in client-facing skills, campaign strategy and scope-of-work execution.
Grow team’s service offerings and expertise in media, crisis and messaging training; strategic planning and advising; crisis and reputation management.
Engage with industry partners, business leaders, community stewards and media to enhance both client and Peritus visibility.
Lead and contribute to thought leadership (writing, speaking, training) and visibility within Alabama’s business landscape.
Maintain a pulse on emerging business trends and how Peritus can bring value to corporate, civic or nonprofit organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS
6–10 years of experience in communications, public relations or related field.
Proven ability to lead client accounts and/or teams independently.
Demonstrated expertise in media, crisis and messaging training; strategic planning and advising; crisis and reputation management.
Strong writing, editing and project management skills.
Familiarity with innovation, economic development or manufacturing industries is a plus.
APR credential preferred (or willingness to pursue).
