Meet the Media at Media Matters 2026

At Peritus PR, we believe the best way to understand today's media landscape is to hear directly from the journalists, editors, broadcasters, and storytellers shaping it every day.

That's exactly what attendees will experience at Media Matters on October 16th. This year's program brings together an exceptional lineup of media professionals whose work spans television news, digital media, community journalism, podcasting, lifestyle publishing, and investigative reporting. Together, they'll share candid insights into what makes a story newsworthy, how organizations can build meaningful relationships with media professionals, and what communicators need to know to effectively reach audiences in an ever-evolving media environment.

Hear from keynote speaker Erin S. Wilson, market leader for StyleBlueprint Birmingham. As well as Christiana Roussel, an award-winning writer, editor, and podcaster. She’ll be joined by an accomplished panel featuring Russell Jones of WBRC, Javacia Harris Bowser of The Birmingham Times, Trisha Powell Crain of Alabama Daily News and Alabama Public Television, and Pat Byington, founding member of Bham Now. Each brings a unique perspective on storytelling, reporting, audience engagement, and the role media plays in our communities.

Before they take the stage at Media Matters, we're introducing the talented media professionals who will be sharing their expertise and helping attendees become more confident, effective communicators.
